Energetic Elegance

The new Murano is built around energetic elegance. The theme starts with the vehicle’s exterior, which features sleek lines and rounded corners. Inside, the experience has been redesigned with dual high-definition displays, soft-touch materials, and optional upgrades like massaging seats or 64 ambient light colors. Taken together, the theme of this vehicle has transformed into art.

Automatic Transmission

Nissan has removed the continuously variable transmission from the Murano and moved to a 9-speed automatic model. This adjustment delivers a smooth driving experience whether on a commute, headed to a soccer game, or out on country roads. The 2025 Murano also features updated paddle shifters and driving dynamics to round out the experience.

Engine Updates

The new Murano brings in a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine rated for 241 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This change provides more torque for better responses when it counts, such as while passing another vehicle. This shift also means the typical 1,500 lb. tow limit remains the same, so the Murano can haul camping equipment and light trailers.

Nissan Safety Shield 360

The 2025 Murano will come with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which is an intuitive suite of common features like lane departure alert and blind spot warning. The vehicle will also have options for ProPILOT Assist. These safety features provide exceptional peace of mind while driving and contribute to a safer road for all drivers.

Integrated Connectivity

The new Murano offers the latest innovations in connection as well. The vehicle includes a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Google built-in. These features provide a world of practical connected features while driving the Murano.

Off-Road Improvements

While the Murano features more improvements for city driving, there were enhancements to the off-road capable vehicle. The all-wheel drive vehicle has new dampers on the suspension and a slightly higher ground clearance. Additionally, Nissan included the option to see through the hood, which addresses many current safety concerns on neighborhood streets.

The 2025 Murano has several updates from previous models and includes some firsts for the line.
